Funeral Plans

NOTE: From 29 July 2022, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will regulate funeral plan providers. Until this regulation is brought in we have decided to suspend our recommendation service in this area.

As part of your personal planning, it is worth considering a funeral plan to both put your mind at rest and further help your loved ones after you have gone. We are delighted to be able to offer you options on funeral plans by working in partnership with Capital Life, a leading provider of funeral plans in the UK.

What are Funeral Plans?

A funeral plan is an arrangement where you:

  • Pay for your funeral in advance
  • Put in place personal plans for how you would like your funeral to be carried out

Ultimately it is an opportunity to further put your and your loved ones minds at rest. It means your family doesn’t have to go through the stress of finding a funeral director, selecting a package and most importantly paying for it.

What are the benefits of having a Funeral Plan?

Peace of mind for you and your family
As you will have already paid for your funeral there will be nothing more for your family to pay (for the services included in your plan).

Make your send off the celebration you want
The Capital Life service offers a wide range of extras and options to allow you to plan your funeral how you would like it. This not only can put your mind at peace, but also take away the worry from your loved ones that they can organise a fitting send off and tribute to your life.

Protect against unexpected costs
A purely monetary benefit to having a funeral plan is that funeral costs are rising, over the last 15 years the average cost of a funeral has increased by 130%*. By purchasing a funeral plan today, you pay no more for the services in your plan.
